Senior Coach: Alastair Clarkson

Coaching Career:

Clarkson withstood considerable pressure to steer Hawthorn into the finals in 2010 for the third time in the past four years.

On one hand, a seventh place finish was a disappointment when you consider the abundance of talent on the Hawthorn list. On the other hand, to have become the first team to make finials after a 1-6 start was a fine achievement and Hawthorn’s form line over the last two thirds of the season provides great encouragement for the year ahead.

Even when the Club was under siege in  2010, Clarkson helped some players produce breakthrough seasons, gave valuable game time to other youngsters and found a few surprise packets, increasing the Club’s depth coming into the 2011 campaign.
