HAWTHORN'S only premiership player Stuart Dew will address the team tonight on the eve of their hunt for grand final glory.

Dew was a key part of Port Adelaide's breakthrough flag in 2004 and this year made a comeback to Hawthorn after one season of retirement.

Defender Brent Guerra said the idea was for Dew to pass on some of his wisdom gleaned from his premiership success.

“Stuey will have a chat to us this evening," Guerra said at the grand final parade on Friday.

"It’s just all about sticking to our routine and playing our regular footy.”

Guerra, like Dew, started his career at Port Adelaide before being traded to St Kilda and then the Hawks.

The 26-year-old said he was less nervous about the grand final than he was for last Saturday's preliminary final against the Saints.

Having been involved in preliminary finals losses at St. Kilda in 2004 and 2005, Guerra was relieved to overcome his former side and book a place on the last Saturday in September.

“I was very nervous because it was my old club,” Guerra said.

“To lose to them would have been devastating.

“To get through to a grand final is sensational. Geelong is a sensational team, they’re going to be hard to beat but if we play are best footy we’d hope to do well.”
