Foundation Directors

Martin Ralston

Martin is a Hawthorn Football Club Director and is Chairman of the Foundation Board.
He was elected to the Hawthorn Football Club Board at the 2005 Annual General Meeting. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Moonee Valley Racing Club, is the non executive Chairman of Transol Corporation and Sirecam and is a non executive Director of DWS and the Box Hill Hawks. Martin's business skills are in information technology and strategic business planning.

Douglas Battersby

Doug is a petroleum geologist with over forty years technical and managerial experience in the Australian and International oil and gas industry.  He co-founded two publicly listed and two private petroleum exploration companies and is currently Executive Chairman - Byron Energy a private Australian company engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas offshore in the Gulf of Mexico.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Geology from Melbourne University.

Guy Kurzmann

Guy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Monash University and is the owner and Managing Director of GAC Australia Pty Ltd, one of the largest orthodontic supplies companies in Australia.  He accompanied the Club on its Kokoda trip in 2009.

Peter MacKenzie

Peter is Chairman and Managing Director of Embracia, his family aged care business, which together with his wife Dawn he has owned and operated for 25 years.  Peter is deeply committed to the aged care industry holding key positions within  industry associations as well as leading Embracia to become an innovator in aged care through its philosophy and standards of care.

Bruce Stevenson

Bruce is a Premiership Player (1971) and former Club Director and Selector.  In business Bruce is the owner of Launceston Toyota and Audi Centre Launceston which has held the Toyota and Audi franchises in Northern Tasmania since 1989.  In addition he is  Chairman of the Tastel Community Telco, also based in Tasmania.
