Hawthorn has welcomed two talented ins for its trip to Tasmania to face West Coast on Sunday, with Tyler Brockman and Ned Reeves recalled into the senior side.

Brockman will bolster the brown and gold attack after the livewire forward served a one-match suspension in Round 9, while Reeves has returned to full fitness following his late withdrawal last week with an ankle injury.

Brockman has booted five majors from his two matches in Tasmania this season, including a three-goal haul in Hawthorn's Round 3 win over North Melbourne.

Reeves, who will again resume tandem ruck duties with teammate Lloyd Meek, is averaging a career-best 27.6 hitouts per game in 2023, including 8.5 to advantage.

Changkuoth Jiath and Chad Wingard have both been struck down by calf injuries, forcing them to miss, while wingman Harry Morrison has been managed.

Hawthorn General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said the returning duo will play an important role as the Hawks search for their second victory for the year.

"We have seen glimpses this season of why we think Brocky has a bright future at Hawthorn, his return this week provides a great opportunity for him to consolidate on these moments. I’m sure he’s looking forward to pulling on the club’s Indigenous Guernsey this weekend, designed by his teammate Jarman Impey," McCartney said.

"Ned’s inclusion definitely strengthens our ruck stocks, with he and Lloyd Meek playing some of their best football in the last month.

"Ned continues to develop his ruck craft and we are really pleased with the growth he has shown in his first 25 games of AFL football. It’s important that he and our young midfield continue to build the synergy that comes from playing regularly together. We’re excited to see this group take another step forward this weekend against West Coast.”

Hawthorn's medical substitute will be confirmed one hour prior to the first bounce.

The match will be live Fox Footy and Kayo Sports from 1pm on Sunday. (AEST).

Hawthorn will also be hosting an open training session on Saturday at UTAS Stadium from 2.50pm.
