Former Hawthorn captain and 2008 premiership player Shane Crawford announced on Wednesday night on Channel 9's The Footy Show that he will shave his head in support of the World's Greatest Shave.

Crawford shaved his head immediately and on live television.

His support of World’s Greatest Shave means a lot to the foundation as it creates awareness of the cause and helps generate much needed funds in order to support people living with blood cancer and ongoing blood cancer research.

The Leukaemia Foundation helps to lessen the impact by providing education, information, emotional support, transport to and from hospital and accommodation for people who need to relocate from regional Australia for treatment.

All of the Leukaemia Foundation’s services and support are provided absolutely free of charge thanks to fundraising efforts from people like Crawf. As well as raising vital funds, Crawf has contributed to help to normalise baldness, one of the most common and often distressing side-effects of cancer treatment.
