Beyondblue, alongside Hawthorn Football Club, is calling on all Hawks fans to help tackle anxiety and depression by digging deep and showing their support through a donation towards programs, research and campaigns run by beyondblue.

Through generous contributions from the public, beyondblue will edge closer to achieving an Australian community that understands depression and anxiety, and empowers all Australians, at any stage in life, to seek help.

The Hon. Jeff Kennett AC, Chairman of beyondblue, said all footy fans can support beyondblue by making a simple donation on their mobiles.

“The beyondblue Cup is an ideal opportunity for the Hawks and the Swans to enlist the help of what is hopefully a 60,000-strong crowd for the Saturday night blockbuster to help raise awareness about depression and mental health.”

“One in six Australians is currently experiencing depression or anxiety, or both, so it is important that we talk about depression and anxiety, reduce stigma, share stories, educate people about signs and symptoms, and assist people to seek help sooner rather than later.”

“We are encouraging all footy fans to text ‘beyondblue’ to 0459 400 400 and donate to help tackle anxiety and depression while watching these two top teams do battle for the Cup.”

Text ‘beyondblue’ to 0459 400 400 to show your support.
