On the penultimate day of Hawthorn’s pre-season training camp in Mooloolaba, the players were up and about early for a 7am boxing, bike and swim session.

Split into three groups, one group headed to each activity.

When boxing, the players in the group were put in pairs to do a mixture of different sets, which tested their endurance and mental strength.

After 20 minutes of intense work, they switched over their respective gloves and then went hard for another 20 minutes.

The group that headed off on the bikes went for an intense 60-minute ride around beautiful Mooloolaba.

Starting their ride at the hotel, the players were met with harsh winds that made the ride more difficult, however, on the way back the breeze had its advantages at their backs.

In the pool, the players completed different exercises in the water that included running as fast as they could and then swimming laps for varying times.

After enjoying some lunch, the group got back into training in the gym for an upper body strength session to close the day before their final day of training.
