Hawthorn has dominated the Round 7 coaches’ votes after their 105-point win over Melbourne, with Sam Mitchell and Liam Shiels sharing top honours.

Mitchell gathered 30 disposals and kicked one goal to go with a team-high eight clearances, while Shiels’ 26 disposals, seven inside 50s and a career-best 13 tackles ensured he was awarded seven votes.

Jarryd Roughead and Cyril Rioli were also handed five votes each from Alastair Clarkson and Paul Roos.

Roughead booted four goals whilst racking up 30 disposals – also a career best – and Rioli did enough with three goals and relentless forward pressure to be considered amongst the Hawks’ best.

Shaun Burgoyne also continued his good form, and after re-signing for 2016, was handed two votes by the coaches along with Bradley Hill.

Billy Hartung’s 26-disposal performance was rewarded with one vote along with the Rising Star nomination for Round 7, while Will Langford rounded out the votes.
