BOX Hill Hawks will be out to continue their winning form against Williamstown at Box Hill City Oval on Sunday afternoon at 2pm.

It looms as a big test for the VFL minor premier - against the third-placed Seagulls - in the final home-and-away round for 2015.

The Hawks will welcome back Hawthorn premiership defender Matt Spangher from a hamstring injury, plus ruckman Jon Ceglar and defender Kurt Heatherley.

Last time the sides met, the Hawks enjoyed a big win, but Box Hill Hawks Coach Marco Bello is expecting a closer contest this time.

“It’s a good test for us going into finals," Bello said.

“Williamstown will be in the top four (for the first week of finals), as are we and we’ve had some good battles with them over the last couple of years.

“They’ve had some good wins this year – and some convincing wins – so we’ll be starting our process of finals football from this weekend onwards.

“We had close to a 10-goal win last time out at Williamstown, but prior to that we’ve some had really close games. We’re expecting a lot tougher contest this time around.”

The Hawks have enjoyed a strong recent run against the Seagulls, with wins in the sides' last five meetings.
