The Premiership Cup Tour is back, and this time it’s coming to the country!
The cups are on the road again in 2015 allowing Hawthorn fans from all across Australia to join in the three-peat celebrations.
However, this year your town has the opportunity to host the 2013, 2014 and 2015 premiership cups.
Is your town mad about the Hawks? Are you home to one of our premiership stars? Or is your community simply a place everyone should visit at least once in their life?
No matter how small or remote the town, the cups could be coming to you! Simply upload a video telling us why we should bring the cups to your town and it could become the ninth leg of the 2015 Premiership Cup Tour.
The cups will be travelling to Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin and Tasmania, before touching down back in Melbourne at Waverley Park.
But their journey won’t end there with one lucky town winning the right to host the cups for one last pit stop.
Video submissions should be no longer than 1 minute 30 seconds and can be shot on a smartphone or video camera. There is no limit on the number of entries per town, but we suggest you work together with your community to get the best entry possible.
Some helpful ideas of what to include in your video:
• Highlight any Hawthorn connections to your town. Are you home to a current or former player? Is there a high number of Hawks fans in your town?
• Why would your town benefit from a visit from the cups?
• What makes your town special? Why would the cups enjoy a day in your community?
• What does footy mean to your community?
• Show us that the whole community is excited. Is the mayor on board, or the local school? We want to hear it!
To be considered for entry towns must not be considered a suburb of a capital city and must be either uploaded direct to our competition page, or to Instagram.
If submitted via Instagram they must include #CupsToCountry.
The competition is now open and entries close on November 27. Winners will be announced on December 1, with the ninth leg of the tour to visit one lucky town on Saturday 19th December.
