HAWTHORN has welcomed two new faces to the club in this year’s AFL Draft.

South Australian tall Luke Surman was the Hawks’ first selection, joining the club with pick 18, while Western Australian Kade Stewart became a Hawk with pick 36.

Midfielder Alex Woodward will remain in the brown and gold, after being rookie-listed with pick 52, while Irishman Conor Glass was officially added to the Hawks’ list with pick 62.

Surman, 17, represented his state at the 2015 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships as a key defender.

The 197-centimetre, 97-kilogram big man can also play in the ruck and up forward.

He was drafted from SANFL club Norwood.

Stewart, 18, is a midfielder from WAFL club South Fremantle and an AFL Academy product.

The 180-centimetre, 70-kilogram runner had an injury interrupted start to the season, before representing his state at the 2015 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.

The Hawks rookie-listed 22-year-old midfielder Woodward, who originally joined the club with pick 53 in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft and is currently recovering from an ACL injury.

International rookie Glass was officially added to Hawthorn's list, after signing with the club last month.
