HAWTHORN forward Paul Puopolo was one of six players across the competition to poll the maximum 10 votes from the coaches in Round 5.

Puopolo polled five votes apiece from Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson and Crows coach Don Pyke in the Hawks’ nail-biting three-point win on Friday night.

The 28-year-old kicked an equal-career best five goals, to go with 23 disposals and six tackles.

He was one of just five players to poll in the match.

Two other Hawks and two Crows also picked up votes.

Cyril Rioli collected seven votes for his four-goal effort, while midfielder Sam Mitchell added to his tally with three votes for his 31-disposal performance.

Adelaide midfielders Rory Sloane and Scott Thompson each polled five votes.

Mitchell was third on the leaderboard last week, but has slipped back to sixth spot on 26 votes, eight behind leader Tom Lynch (Gold Coast) on 34 votes.
