A roaring Tiger outfit was too good for the Hawks at the MCG, earning an 18-point win.

The Rundown

Hawthorn was overcome by a hungry Richmond side at the MCG, with some missed opportunities coming back to hurt the Hawks.

Despite the Hawks grabbing the lead back on two occasions in the second quarter, the Tigers kicked four unanswered goals after half-time to eventually run out 18-point winners.

The Hawks produced their lowest score for the 2015 season, highlighting the Tigers ability to take on the best teams on the biggest stage and perform well, which many had questioned at different times during the season.

The Star

Jordan Lewis was the best Hawthorn player on the ground, racking up 34 disposals.

The Moment

After getting a free kick for a high tackle and then being flattened by three Tigers, Cyril Rioli calmly went back and kicked a goal to put the Hawks in front for the first time.

The Coach

“We were just outhunted by a hungrier side tonight” – Alastair Clarkson
