The Hawks Museum is pleased to announce that the tribute to the Club’s 13th Premiership is now in place for all visitors to come and relieve that memorable game in the first week of October 2015.

On entry through the main double doors, visitors will be able to enjoy seeing the display cabinet that pays tribute to the 2015 Premiership.

The impressive photo of the team that brought so much joy to fans of the Brown and Gold hangs above the guernsey worn by Norm Smith Medalist, Cyril Rioli. A replica premiership medal, one of the game day footballs and cheer squad badges are all on display.

Hawthorn’s leading goal kicker for 2015, Jack Gunston, has a pair of white Adidas boots worn during the season which are also included.

The 2015 Premiership pennant is now on display and can be seen hanging along side the 2013 and 2014 pennants.  Known as the 3-peat, the three pennants make a very impressive statement with Hawthorn being one of only four clubs to have achieved this feat in the history of the VFL/AFL.

Collingwood leads the way with four premierships in a row, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930.  The other clubs with three premierships in a row are Carlton 1906, 1907, 1908, Melbourne 1939, 1940, 1941, then again in 1955, 1956, 1957 with the Brisbane Lions in 2001, 2002, 2003.

Premiership heroes Jack Gunston and Cyril Rioli admire the 2015 Premiership Cabinet.

Already a number of visitors have had their photos taken either standing below the pennants or beside the 2015 Premiership cabinet. Don’t miss you opportunity when you next visit.

The museum offers a special thank you to the Club’s Maintenance Officer Harvey Hurst with the installation of the Premiership pennants.

In achieving the 3-peat, the Hawks defeated:

2014 - Hawthorn 21.11.137  d  Sydney 11.8.74
