Harry Morrison was Hawthorn’s first selection in the 2016 National Draft. 

Taken with Pick 74, Morrison impressed selectors with excellent decision making and defensive skills.

The Bushrangers’ half-back flanker was having a quiet Friday night watching the draft with family when his name was called.

“When my name got read out it was chaos for a couple of minutes,” said Morrison.

“I’m just stoked, my whole family is [stoked].”

A former Richmond supporter, Morrison recalls the first time he met new Hawk, Ty Vickery.

“I think it was about ’09, I went to a family day at Richmond and he’d just been drafted so I got a pic with him. We were not looking too good, either of us!”
