Hawthorn will bolster its 2017 preparations on Monday, when the club heads north to start its pre-season camp.

The Hawks will be spending 10 days in sunny Mooloolaba, undertaking a rigorous training program that is set to challenge the boys both physically and mentally.

The Queensland-based camp is a regular staple in the Hawk's pre-season schedule, with the club visiting the sunshine state five times in the past six years. It is seen as a great opportunity for the players to bond with their new teammates, and strengthen their team culture outside of the Ricoh Centre.

With just over two months before the pre-season competition returns, the camp will provide players with a solid fitness base to build from when they return to training in the new year.
