With the start of a new season around the corner, we have had a look at which players will be celebrating milestone games this year.

As many as 12 Hawks could be reaching a milestone this year, with Luke Hodge's 300th game headlining a special bunch.

Hodge is set to play his 300th against Collingwood at the MCG in round 15. He will become only the eighth player to run out for 300 games for the Hawks.

Newly appointed captain Jarryd Roughead is in line for a pair of milestones this year.

Barring any missed games, he will celebrate game 250 in round 20 against Richmond. By then, Hawks fans will hope that he will have kicked nine goals and taken his career tally to 500, a feat that has previously been achieved by only five Hawks.

Another special occasion this season will see Brendan Whitecross play his 100th game. A player riddled with bad luck after enduring back-to-back ACL ruptures, his story is one of great resilience and will hopefully be commemorated in round three against Gold Coast in his home state.
