Harry Morrison, taken at pick 74, was the Hawks first pick in the 2016 Draft.

A product of the Murray Bushrangers, Morrison is described as a medium-sized defender, whose strengths lie in his great running power and ability to intercept opposition ball movement.

The Benalla-product, who will wear number 35 for the Hawks this year, was able to overcome a knee reconstruction in 2014 that kept him out of football for 14 months.

Morrison also boasts a strong footy pedigree. He is the cousin of Brisbane Lions star Tom Rockliff as well as being the godson of former Hawk player and coach the late Ken Judge.

Q. How have you found pre-season so far?

A. I've found it really good so far. I've been pretty lucky to not have any injuries. It's been solid but it's been good to get my first pre-season nearly under my belt.

Q. Where are you looking to play this year?

A. Probably half-back or wing at the moment. I have been playing those positions in the game-play stuff.

Q. What are your strengths as a player?

A. I think my strengths are my reading of the ball and my running ability so I think that is well suited to those positions.

Q. What are the areas that you are looking to improve this pre-season?

A. Definitely trying to work on my strength at the moment. I'm only a touch over 75 kilos at the moment so just trying to get in the gym and put on a bit of size and increase my power.

Q. What are your goals for the pre-season?

A. It's really just been about getting respect from the senior players and setting good first impressions. That's been my main goal on and off the field.

Q. Is there anyone at training who you've tried to follow around and emulate?

A. In the game-play, I have been keeping an eye on Isaac Smith. Just watching how hard he works and where he gets to on the ground.

Q. What's the best advice/instruction that you've had since arriving at the club?

I think early on I was just a bit tense, especially out on the track. But then I got told I was here for a reason and to just relax. Since then, I've felt much more comfortable and backed my ability a bit more.

Q. What are your current living circumstances now you're with the Hawks?

A. I had to move out of home and now I'm with a host family. It's just me with them so it's been good.

Q. Any nicknames Hawks fans should be aware of?

A. Not really! Just "H" and Haz at the moment for me!

Q. Do you have a celebrity crush?

A. Umm... Probably Eva Mendes.

Q. What are your hobbies outside of footy?

A. At the moment, probably golf. Starting to play a bit so that's been good. I'm not playing as much as a few of the other boys yet, but just enjoying having a hit every now and then.

Q. What would you be doing if you didn’t get drafted?

A. Probably be working with my mum in a retail shop back in Benalla!

Q. If you were a superhero, what would your name and superpower be?

A. I'd probably go with invisibility and maybe my name could be Ghost!
