Hawthorn has named its Round 5 team of 22, with Daniel Howe the sole new addition to the Hawks’ line up.

Howe has been named emergency twice in the first four rounds of the 2017 season, and will finally get his opportunity against West Coast on Sunday afternoon.

GM- Football Operations Jason Burt says the versatile defender’s selection comes off the back of some impressive VFL performances.

“Howe is another great young story for us,” says Burt.

“He has been working really hard both at VFL level and on the training track, and really hasn’t put a foot wrong.

“He showed us what he was capable of at AFL level last year, and we’re confident he can slot into the side and perform his role.”

Ricky Henderson comes out of the side, and has been named emergency alongside Kade Stewart and Ty Vickery.
