After conceding eight third quarter goals to St Kilda in their Round 6 loss, the Hawks are now ranked last in the competition in terms of third quarter scoring efforts.

In his post match press conference, Senior Coach Alastair Clarkson admits the team is severely lacking consistency.

"We're really struggling to put forward that consistency of effort from one quarter to the next," says Clarkson.

"Last week we played four really strong, disciplined quarters, and this week when we were seriously challenged.... we fell away so poorly in the third [quarter]."

"We need to work out ways to try and correct that because we are going no where quickly."
