Before Peter Knights is elevated to Hawthorn 'Legend' status at next week's Mid Season Ball, we are reflecting on our seven current Hawthorn Legends to remind fans of how incredibly special and accomplished this group is.

Jason Dunstall

No player has kicked more goals for Hawthorn than Jason Dunstall.

In a career spanning 14 years, Dunstall played 269 games and stands as the third highest goal kicker in VFL/AFL history with 1254 career goals.

Dunstall finished his career a four-time premiership player, three-time Coleman Medallist, four-time Peter Crimmins Medallist and 12-time leading goal-kicker for the Hawks.

He also captained the club in the last four years of his career, from 1995 to 1998.

Dunstall was deservedly named the full-forward of Hawthorn’s Team of the Century in 2001.

Since his retirement, Dunstall has continued his service at Hawthorn, holding the position of interim CEO in 2004, while also spending nine years on the Hawthorn Board from 2005 until 2013.
