Box Hill Highlights: Round 16 Watch all the highlights from the Box Hill Hawks' 52 point win over Geelong.

In 2016, the Box Hill Hawks finished tenth on the VFL ladder.

After finishing in the top four for the three years previous and winning the premiership in 2013, the Hawks could manage only seven wins for the year.

They lost nine of their last 11 matches in 2016, depicting what was a very grim season for the Hawthorn affiliate side.

But Box Hill has rebounded from the disappointment of last year in astounding fashion, sitting atop of the VFL ladder with three games remaining in the home and away season.

They have won 12 of their 15 matches, with two losses and one draw.

Both losses came in a mid-season “slump”, losing to the Casey Scorpions in Round 10 and, in Round 12, they lost to Williamstown, who currently sit in second place on the ladder.

The Hawks drew with Port Melbourne in Round 7, in what was a very dramatic finish.

The Hawks will play their final three games against seventh-placed Essendon, Port Melbourne in fourth place and the ninth Northern Blues as they look to secure the minor premiership.
