Ryan Burton has been pipped for the 2017 NAB AFL Rising Star award, beaten by Essendon's Andrew McGrath.
McGrath finished with 51 votes, ahead of Burton (41) and Port Adelaide's Sam Powell-Pepper (35), who finished second and third respectively.
