Hawthorn fans will finally have the opportunity to farewell retiring premiership star Sam Mitchell when the former Hawk returns to Melbourne for the 2017 Peter Crimmins Medal.

Mitchell will be honoured alongside fellow retirees Luke Hodge and Josh Gibson, as part of a special celebration to acknowledge each player’s achievements in the game.

The five-time Peter Crimmins Medallist was traded to West Coast Eagles at the end of the 2016 season, following a stellar 15-year career in the brown and gold that included four premierships and the 2012 Brownlow Medal.

Mitchell’s return for the Peter Crimmins Medal presents the first opportunity for Hawthorn fans to formally say thank you to ‘Mitch’.

There are limited seats remaining, so supporters are encouraged to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

The 2017 Peter Crimmins Medal night will be live streamed via hawthornfc.com.au and the Hawthorn App (Download at iTunes or Google Play) on Saturday 7th October from 7:00pm.
