Several Hawthorn players and football staff are preparing to take part in the annual Eureka Climb, to be held on November 19th.

The event will see two Hawthorn teams pitted against each other, as they climb the 88 levels and 1642 steps of Melbourne Eureka Tower, in a bid to raise money for charity.

"We will have a bit of healthy competition between the two teams, both to see who can raise the most money and who can reach the top first,” said Hawks Development Coach Max Bailey.

"If I were a betting man, I'd back team one."

Bailey will be joined in team one by players Mitchell Lewis and Conor Nash, and Box Hill Coach Chris Newman.

Team two consists of Kieran Lovell and James Cousins, as well as Team Manager Josh McMahon and Player Development Manager Cam Matthews.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Eureka Climb’s charity partners, Interplast and Whitelion.
