Hawthorn has selected hard-running midfielder Dylan Moore with Pick 67, the club's second selection in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft.

Being named in the forward pocket of this year’s Under-18 All Australian side completed an incredible past couple of years for Moore.

The Caulfield Grammar student played the majority of the 2016 season for his local side, the Rowville Hawks, and played only five games for his TAC Cup side, the Eastern Ranges.

But after an outstanding start to the TAC Cup season this year, the 175cm forward rocketed into draft calculations.

He averaged 23 disposals (11 contested) across his four outings for Vic Metro in the National Championships.

Moore won the 2km time trial in 6.09 minutes and finished second in the yo-yo test at the 2017 NAB AFL Combine.

He joins Pick 45, James Worpel, as the club's newest draftees, with three Hawks' picks still to come.
