The Hawks will have at least two spots open up this week with Cyril Rioli and Paul Puopolo suffering injuries last weekend.

Coach Alastair Clarkson has already flagged the potential for the Hawks to go tall in their forward line which could open the door for Ryan Schoenmakers to return from an Achilles injury.

Key forward Mitchell Lewis again continued his good form at VFL level with three goals from 14 disposals and is an outside chance to make his debut, while AFL regulars Will Langford and Ryan Burton are both strong chances to earn a recall.

Langford spent most of his time for Box Hill on the weekend up forward, finishing with 18 disposals and seven tackles, and could fill the void in defensive pressure left by Rioli and Puopolo.

Burton kicked two goals playing off half back and gathered 24 disposals in an impressive display.

Meanwhile third-year Hawk Kieran Lovell is another who will come under consideration. Spending more time up forward than on the ball, Lovell had 17 disposals to go with four tackles and could slot well into the Hawks’ forward 50 against North Melbourne.

James Cousins was also prolific for Box Hill on the weekend with 27 disposals, eight tackles and a goal.
