Having played his 150th game in the Hawks season opener against Collingwood this year, Gunston has an impressive career average of 1.93 goals per game.

Of the current Hawks list, only Jarryd Roughead (539 career goals) and Luke Breust (315) have kicked more majors.

Gunston requires four goals to reach 300 career majors. He has kicked a bag of four or more on 24 occasions

The former Crow kicked 20 goals in his 14 games for Adelaide. He has kicked 276 goals in 139 games as a Hawk.

Gunston’s best effort in a single game is six goals, a feat he has achieved twice: in Round 17, 2015 against Carlton and Round 16, 2014 against North Melbourne

The sharpshooter’s highest season tally was in 2014, when he kicked 58 goals. Playing 23 games in a premiership year, Gunston averaged 2.5 goals per game.

In the game’s 121-year history, only 180 players have reached the 300-goal milestone.

There have been 18 players who have pulled on a brown and gold jumper and reached the benchmark

Only 12 current players have booted 300 career goals
