Hawthorn defender James Sicily will not be available for this week's clash against St Kilda, after the tribunal handed him a one-week suspension for serious misconduct.

Sicily was cited for 'stomping' on North Melbourne's Shaun Atley during the quarter of Hawthorn's Round 5 loss to North Melbourne, and pleaded guilty during Tuesday night's tribunal.

He will be free to return for Hawthorn's Round 7 clash against Essendon.
