Triple-premiership midfielder Liam Shiels is a big chance to come back into the Hawks’ line-up this weekend, according to Director of High Performance Andrew Russell.

The Hawthorn vice captain missed his side's win over St Kilda due to a back injury, but has trained strongly this week to bring himself under consideration for selection.

Defender James Sicily appears a certainty to return, after serving his one match suspension for misconduct against North Melbourne's Shaun Atley.

Despite Box Hill having a bye over the weekend, there are still several players in the selection frame for a senior recall.

Ryan Schoenmakers remains a chance, should the Hawks attempt to stretch the Bombers defence, and half-back Conor Glass was the unlucky man to make way ahead of the Hawks clash with the Saints.

Mitch Lewis also appears close to making his debut, having booted three goals in each of Box Hill's hit outs this season.
