Hawthorn has confirmed two changes to its line up ahead of Friday night’s beyondblue Cup blockbuster against the Swans.

Ricky Henderson and Will Langford return to the big stage after missing the club’s Round 7 win over Essendon, while young duo James Cousins and James Worpel have been omitted.

GM-Football Graham Wright says the forecasted blistery conditions played a part in the match committee’s decision.

“Cousins did a good job last week and is a bit unlucky to miss,” Wright said.

“He came in late and was given a task on Merrett, and he performed his role well.

“Worpel has also shown some positive signs in his first two senior games and he can be proud of his performances.

“But, given the weather forecast for tomorrow night, Henderson and Langford will just give us that extra touch of experience which will come in handy when dealing with the slippery conditions.”

The beyondblue Cup will kick off with a pre-match performance from the cast of Priscilla. Supporters are encouraged to be in their seats by 7.15pm to ensure they don’t miss any of the entertainment.
