Hawks fans are set to get an exclusive opportunity to dine with a host of club greats including Leigh Matthews, David Parkin and Luke Hodge to celebrate the 1978, ’88 and ’08 premiership anniversaries.

The Mighty Fighting Hawks Premiership Reunion will see players and coaches share behind the scenes insight and tell never-before-heard stories at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne’s Savoy Ballroom, with supporters invited to attend this once in a life-time event.

Fans will relive the famous moments of all three premierships with the likes of Matthew’s incredible four-goal performance, and Peter Knights’ shift forward, after being knocked out in defence, which helped secure the Hawks the 1978 premiership against the Kangaroos.

1988 Norm Smith Medallist Gary Ayres and Brownlow medalist Robert DiPierdomenico will also join supporters, diving into the depths of the the Hawks’ record-breaking performance that saw them defeat Melbourne by an incredible 96 points as key forwards Jason Dunstall (seven goals), Paul Abbott (six) and Dermott Brereton (five) ran rampant.

Meanwhile the 2008 premiership saw the third quarter efforts of Stuart Dew become a famous part of Hawthorn folklore after kicking two goals and handing off another two as the Hawks sailed to an upset 26-point victory.
