Midfielder Daniel Howe has pushed himself into contention for an AFL recall after a best-afield display for Box Hill on Saturday.

The 23-year-old had 26 disposals in the side’s 36-point loss to North Melbourne, while also managing two goals, five clearances and 10 marks.

Brendan Whitecross was as reliable as ever with a two-goal performance and looks ready to return to senior level should he be called on, while Teia Miles continues to put his hand up for AFL selection with another 24-disposal performance.

James Cousins will also be a chance to return after missing the Hawks’ clash with the Eagles due to concussion-related symptoms, as

will half back Conor Glass who served as a carry-over emergency.
