Despite the AFL team heading down to Launceston this weekend, Victorian Hawks' fans will still be treated to a big weekend of football with a VFL double header against traditional club rivals Essendon this Sunday.

The Hawthorn women's side will kick things off against the VFLW Bombers at 11.45am at Box Hill City Oval. It will be the second time the sides have faced off this year, with the Hawks dominating the contest and emerging 39-point victors in their Round 1 clash at Windy Hill.

The Box Hill men will then follow with their Round 12 hit out against Essendon's VFL side at 2.10pm. The last time these two sides met was in Round 17 last year, when the Bombers came from behind in the final term to register a six-point win. The Hawks will no doubt be looking for redemption against their traditional rivals in what promises to be a fiery contest.

Spectators who arrive prior to half time in the women's game will gain free entry. After this time, entry will be $10 for non-members. As always, Hawthorn fans can display their membership to gain free access to both games.

There will also be a range of kids activities, so we encourage fans to bring the family along.

Go Hawks!
