Hawks fans are set for another big double header, with both the Hawthorn women and the Box Hill men taking on Essendon this Sunday.

The women will kick off proceedings at Box Hill City Oval from 11.45am.

Two Hawks are set to make their VFLW debut in the clash against the Bombers, with youngster Mikala Cann and Emerson Woods ready to don the brown and gold.

“We’re bringing two of our TAC Cup players which is really exciting,” VFLW Football Operations Manager Briana Harvey said.

“Obviously they’ve had their TAC commitments, as well as Vic metro and country… so it’s really exciting for us to see some of the junior talent coming up and getting their first game.”

Box Hill will then follow at 2.10pm, with the side preparing for its first clash against the Bombers for the season.

Kaiden Brand returns after a solid AFL hit out against the Crows last week, while Box Hill players Tristan Tweedie and Michael Knoll are in contention to play their first VFL game of the season.
