Hawthorn has made one change to its Round 21 line up, with debutant Conor Nash replacing Brendan Whitecross (illness).

The Irishman comes in off the back of some strong form at VFL level, according to GM-Football Graham Wright.

“Conor has really impressed us with his development this season,” Wright said.

“Obviously learning a foreign game is a big challenge, but he has picked it up quickly and is extremely eager to learn.

“He’s a versatile player with great speed, so we’re excited to see him embrace his AFL opportunity this weekend.

“Whitey has unfortunately come down with a virus and won’t be available, but the positive is that it presents an opportunity for a young player coming through.”

Hawthorn will meet Geelong at the MCG for the second time this year, following Easter Monday’s blockbuster that saw the Hawks prevail by a single point.

It will be the Hawks’ final home game for the 2018 home and away season, with just a pair of away clashes against the Saints and the Swans to come.
