Carlton has selected versatile defender Jayde Van Dyk with Pick 21 in the 2018 AFLW Draft. 

A Hawthorn VFLW premiership player, Van Dyk enjoyed a magnificent individual season which saw her take out the VFLW’s Rising Star award, the Hawks best and fairest as well as being selected in the Team of the Year.

Van Dyk’s key attributes include her ability to play a range of roles in defence and use the ball with precision.

A product of Chirnside Park Football Club, Van Dyk played 30 games in the brown and gold across the past two seasons.

Van Dyk’s best game this season came in the Round 12 win over the Southern Saints when she gathered 27 disposals and five marks at an impressive disposal efficiency of 81.4%.
