Ceglar made his return to football in Round 5 of the VFL this year, 625 days after he ruptured his ACL against the West Coast Eagles in Round 22 2016.

In his third game back against the Northern Blues, he collected 28 touches, 10 marks, six tackles and 28 hit-outs to force his selection into the senior side the following week.

The ruckman went on to play 10 of the next 11 senior games, kicking six goals across the period and averaging 21.8 hit-outs as he smoothly transitioned back into the speed of the top level.

Ceglar registered a career-high 1.3 contested marks throughout his time in the AFL this year, which is a pleasing result for someone coming back from serious injury.

The 27-year-old will look to continue to build his confidence and game in 2019.
