Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Hawks each week exclusive to hawthornfc.com.au.

LAST WEEK

The Hawks got the job done at Adelaide Oval, defeating the Crows to the tune of 29 points.

Liam Shiels collected 25 disposals for 120 points while Isaac Smith was able to knock up a solid 103 to be the only other Hawk to crack the Fantasy ton.

That was Smith’s seventh score over 100 in the past eight weeks and takes him to the 10th highest averaging midfielder so far this season.

TOP 5 SCORERS V ADELAIDE

  • 120 – Liam Shiels (MID, $541,000)
  • 103 – Isaac Smith (MID, $589,000)
  • 97 – Luke Hodge (DEF/MID, $600,000)
  • 96 – Matt Suckling (DEF, $426,000)
  • 94 – Shaun Burgoyne (DEF/MID, $409,000)

ON THE RADAR

Owners of Jordan Lewis have been frustrated of late. Following his two-match suspension, he scored 116 and then missed a match with a sore shoulder, posted 80 against the Saints, had the bye and could only reach 75 against the Crows on Thursday.

If you have Lewis, then there is no doubt that you have to hold onto the champion midfielder.

If you don’t have him, then get ready to pick him up as he will be very cheap, very soon. With a breakeven of 171, Lewis is likely to drop below $600K this week, around $100K short of his peak price this season.

Back him in to be back to his best ASAP and reap the rewards!

WHAT’S COMING UP

On Saturday afternoon the Hawks take on old rivals Essendon..

They met in Round 2 this year, with Essendon winning a thriller by two points. Jordan Lewis enjoyed a big game, racking up 119 points after gathering 34 disposals. Jack Gunston kicked three goals for 112 and Luke Hodge was the general with 30 touches and 111 points.
