HAWTHORN Captain Luke Hodge has been offered a two-game sanction by the MRP for an incident in Friday night's match.

Hodge was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Port Adelaide's Chad Wingard during the third quarter of the Round 21 match between the Hawks and Power.

The incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head and classified as a two-game sanction.

Due to Hodge's record, his two-game penalty was increased to a three-game penalty.

He can accept a two-match sanction with an early guilty plea.

If Hodge accepts the sanction, he will miss the Hawks' Round 22 and Round 23 matches, but be available for the first week of finals.
