SAM Mitchell has been awarded a perfect 10 votes by the coaches in the Hawks’ 14-point win over the West Coast Eagles.

Gathering a game-high 36 disposals and nine clearances, Mitchell was prolific through the midfield as the Hawks overcame a four-point deficit at three-quarter-time.

Mitchell’s best-on-ground performance has also seen him climb into the top 10 of the AFLCA’s Player of the Year Award.

Teammate Luke Breust was also recognised for his three-goal effort, with his first quarter dribbling goal from the boundary nominated for the Round 19 Goal of the Year.

Breust’s season-best 22 disposals and seven tackles scored seven votes from Alastair Clarkson and Adam Simpson, with Grant Birchall (two) and Liam Shiels (one) the other Hawks to receive votes.

Birchall had five inside-50s and kicked a goal, while Shiels laid an incredible, career-high 17 tackles while picking up 21 disposals and a goal.

Andrew Gaff (seven), Luke Shuey (two) and Josh Kennedy (one) were the Eagles to also be awarded votes.
