Jack Fitzpatrick is set to make his AFL return after being upgraded to Hawthorn’s senior list.

The 200cm ruckman joined the Hawks at the end of 2015, having been traded from Melbourne.

Fitzpatrick went on to play three games for the Hawks in 2016 (most notably kicking the match winning goal against Collingwood in Round 23) before being delisted at the end of the season.

Hawthorn’s plan was always to redraft the ruckman via the 2017 Rookie Draft, and that plan eventuated when Fitzpatrick was taken with pick 31.

The 25-year-old has started his season strongly while playing with Box Hill, kicking nine goals in the opening four rounds.
