HAWTHORN defender Ben Stratton jumped on Facebook to answer your questions on Friday morning.

Here's what he had to say.

Q: Who was your childhood team? - Jack, VIC

A: I was a West Coast Eagles fan growing up, I played for Dunsborough junior footy club.

Q: What style of music do you DJ? - Andy, VIC

A: House and techno.

Q: What's the best advice you can give to young footy players who aspire to be as successful as yourself? - Scott, VIC

A: My advice would be to enjoy everything outdoors - not just footy. If you love doing it and you're smiling doing it, you're going to succeed at it.

Q: You have the ability to play against small and mid forwards, have you always had the ability to do this before coming to Hawthorn? - Philip, VIC

A: I've always liked changing up my roles, it keeps me on my toes and I love the challenge.

Q: How nervous are you before a grand final? - Chloe, NSW

A: Super nervous. The whole week is a pretty good experience and a pretty exciting week, so you just try to lap it up as much as you can and enjoy the week. Come game day you know everyone's going to be nervous, but once the ball's bounced it's a different story, you're in game mode and not thinking about too much else.

Q: If you weren't playing AFL football what would you be doing instead? - Deb, VIC

A: Travelling or living overseas - something random, wherever I landed on my feet. Maybe working in a little bar in Mexico!

Q: Who is your most annoying teammate? - Janet, VIC

A: Grant Birchall - he's always at you, but also always making me laugh.

Q: Who is the toughest person to play on? Hope to see you tonight at the family market!! - Adam

A: Devastated that the family market won't be going ahead due to the weather! In my first year I played on Adam Goodes, he was quick, strong and fit. It was a pretty good learning experience for my football, especially in my first year.

Q: How much quieter are the change rooms now Lakey's gone? - Ronnie, TAS

A: Less weird.
