BOX HILL Hawks’ kept their slim finals hopes alive with a 37-point win over Werribee at City Oval on Sunday.

After leading by just six points at half time, the Hawks piled on six goals to Werribee’s one major in the third term to set up victory.

The win leaves the Hawks one game behind eighth-placed Essendon with just three matches remaining in the season.

Fitzpatrick carried on with his good form from last week, kicking three goals in just his second game back from concussion, which had sidelined him since mid-May.

Ryan Burton also impressed for the Hawks, bagging three goals in an impressive performance up forward.

The 19-year-old was playing just his second VFL game since mid-April, when he had an operation on his knee as a follow-up to the injury which kept him out of action in his draft year.
