Jack Gunston (Hawthorn)

Jack Gunston has made a couple of appearances in Five to Watch recently, and with good reason.

The Hawthorn sharpshooter has kicked 25 goals in the past seven weeks, his lowest return in that time being two goals against Brisbane.

His likely battle with either Scott Thompson or Robbie Tarrant will be pivotal to Hawthorn’s prospects.

Jack Ziebell (North Melbourne)

Kangaroos vice-captain Jack Ziebell is on track for a career-best season in 2016, averaging 23.3 disposals per game this year as well as ranking ninth in the competition for kicks per game.

His damaging disposal makes him a really important part of the Kangaroos’ engine room, and watching him go up against the likes of Jordan Lewis and Will Langford will be entertaining for both sets of fans.

Cyril Rioli (Hawthorn)

Cyril Rioli was at his damaging best against Essendon last week, picking up 20 disposals and three goals as the Hawks recorded their biggest win in 2016 thus far.

Rioli will be looking for a repeat performance under the roof at Etihad Stadium, and if he can get past the Kangaroos’ defence, look out.

Drew Petrie (North Melbourne)

In the absence of the Roos' leading goalkicker in Jarrad Waite, fellow veteran forward Drew Petrie becomes even more important.

Petrie ranks third at North for constested marks in 2016 - behind Waite and Ben Brown - and will be looking to add to the 15 goals he has kicking this season.

With Waite out, Petrie will likely draw a match-up on in-form Hawk James Frawley.

Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn)

After missing last week’s win with a back niggle, Sam Mitchell will be cherry ripe to go head-to-head with North Melbourne’s best midfielders.

The ladder leaders have opted not to use a run-with player in recent weeks with tagger Ben Jacobs currently sidelined with a foot injury, which could be good news for Mitchell.
