The Box Hill Hawks remain undefeated in 2016 after securing their fourth win of the season in wet and windy conditions against the Frankston Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

Coming off the back of their first win in 24 games Frankston were keen to continue their winning ways at Box Hill City Oval, but the Hawks had other plans.

A scrappy first half saw Box Hill take a 19-point lead into the main-break before a revitalized Hawks pulled away comfortably in the second half.

The Hawks kicked eight goals to two in the second half and secured their place on top of the Peter Jackson VFL ladder.

Kade Stewart, Dallas Willsmore and Blake Hardwick all kicked two for the Hawks, while Teia Miles and Angus Litherland were also impressive.

Willsmore lead the way with 27 while Stewart finished the game with eight tackles, two goals and 19 disposals.

The Box Hill Hawks now head into their first bye of the season sitting four points clear on top of the table.
