HAWTHORN will finalise its 2015 playing group on Wednesday morning when it takes part in the AFL’s Rookie Draft.

The Hawks will add four players, holding picks 18, 36, 53 and 65.

At least three new faces will join the Club, while the Hawks are committed to using one of those selection to re-draft delisted ruckman/forward Sam Grimley if no other club selects him.

Grimley was delisted late last month, just prior to the second list lodgment ahead of the 2014 National Draft.

Removing Grimley from the primary list allowed the Hawks to use their third pick in last Thursday night’s National Draft, in which it picked up talented trio Daniel Howe (pick 31), Teia Miles (pick 49) and Marc Pittonet (pick 50).

The draftees began training with the Hawks on Monday.

Wednesday morning’s Rookie Draft will take place following the Pre-season Draft, in which the Hawks don’t have a selection as all places on the primary list have been filled.

The Rookie Draft will take place at approximately 11.05am (Pre-season Draft to begin at 11am) electronically, with recruiters from each club to select their players over link from their home base.

The Hawks will select their new rookies from the Ricoh Centre, Waverley Park.

Hawthorn’s newly-selected rookies will join International Rookies Kurt Heatherley and Shem Tatupu on the rookie list for 2015 after first-year rookies Zac Webster and Dallas Willsmore were upgraded to the primary list.
