Hawthorn Football Club is getting behind a very special supporter to help her family raise funds for much needed vehicle modifications.

Young Hawks supporter Maddy had Rett Syndrome - a degenerative, incurable and untreatable neurodevelopmental disorder that results in her needing help to get out and about safely, which would be greatly assisted by having the family car converted to hold her wheelchair.

Vehicle conversions are expensive, and Maddy's will cost almost $32,000.

The Victorian Government subsidy for families is just $10,000.

The Club is calling on the Hawks family to help a fellow supporter in her time of need - any donation, no matter how small, can help Maddy get back on the road.

In support of Maddy’s Appeal, the Club has donated a limited edition 2011 team-signed lithograph guernsey which will be auctioned off with all proceeds going back to Maddy’s Appeal.
