Watch the video above to discover what playing in a Grand Final means to Hawks players.

HawksTV caught up with some of the younger Hawks players ahead of Saturday's Grand Final.

Luke Breust, Jack Gunston, Ryan Schoenmakers, Liam Shiels, Isaac Smith and Matthew Suckling have all shared their thoughts heading into the biggest match of the season.

Breust is prepared for the nerves that he will experience before the match.

"The hairs stick up on the back of your neck when you're singing the national anthem and you're arm-in-arm with your teammates."

Gunston understands the week is different to every other one.

"It's obviously going to be a different week but I can't wait to get out there on Saturday."

Schoenmakers says it's every young boys' dream to play in a Grand Final.

"It's something you always dream about, you just take in your stride I guess."

Shiels admitted he will be nervous heading into the match but once it starts he'll be fine.

"Once the ball's been bounced the nerves are gone and you're just focused on playing your role for the team."

Smith has taken his father's advice ahead of the match.

"As dad always said it's the ultimate to be in an AFL Grand Final so I'm just looking forward to it."

Suckling is looking forward to enjoying every moment of Grand Final week.

"It's a childhood dream to play in a Grand Final so I'm just going to soak it up and live it out."
