The exciting Tassie Hawks in Schools program, brought to you by the Tasmanian Government, was officially launched at Move Well Eat Well Award School, Mount Stuart Primary School, on Tuesday.

Hawthorn Football Club General Manager, Consumer Services and Community, Greg Cook, joined Tasmanian Minister for Sport and Recreation Michelle O’Byrne to kick off the exciting program which will benefit every single primary school student across the state.

Each school will receive three footballs, three netballs, an equipment bag and a pump to encourage physical activity within schools.

Every student across the state will also have access to an online booklet, Hawks Active Kids eWorkbook, developed by Hawthorn’s major partner BUPA in conjunction with the Department of Education and Move Well Eat Well.

The fun and engaging workbook is full of activities to help promote the importance of being healthy and active.
